Nationale Nederlanden Building/Fred & Ginger Building, Dancing House

Prague

Architect by Frnak O.Gehry in 1992-6. Gehry's exuberantly gestural new office building on the edge of the Vltava river is a bold symbol of Prague's architectural. This new building occupies a promine corner site on the edge.
The site was originally occupied by a house in the Neo-renaissance style from the end of the 19th century. That house was destroyed during bombing in 1945 during the World War II, its remains finally removed in 1960. Photo by Jungryul Kim on September 2007.
